I can switch umbrella company when I breach the 24-month travel rule and continue to claim travel expenses.
Fact:
Moving umbrella company will not change the situation as the rule applies to your actual place of work, rather than the company you use. A workplace is deemed a temporary site, provided that your contract is expected to last no longer than 24 months. After 2 years a workplace is viewed as a permanent site, and if you spend 40% or more of your time at the same site you are no longer able to claim travel between home and the site.
